New Moon in Leo 2023 transit: A short story by the moon

The night sky is darker than usual looking up from Earth as my body glides closer to the golden, glowing sun, my distant star lover. Today especially I can feel his warm washing over my face as I swim through his own sign of Leo. Our monthly dance is coming to a close as I move closer and closer until tonight when we meet below the horizon at 11:53pm.

    Early in the morning, Jupiter in slow moving Taurus squares off with my fiery horns gleaming in my moonlight reminding me to look inward at the more boring, practical and patient steps needed to continue my journey of expansion, education and growth. 

    Thankfully by 2:44pm I move into line making a conjunction with the beautiful goddess Venus, who has happily been bathing in the sunlight of Leo a bit extra this summer. She moves backwards through retrograde into my sights and spirit, with a laugh so enlightening I can't help feeling a sudden burning love consume me entirely. 

Heart and soul.

    With this energy, the afternoon feels beautiful, healing and driven by an inner confidence that seems to come from a source greater than we know. Filled by this inner confidence and strength we are more prepared for the surprises in store today for our career or public life as the sun squares change-maker Uranus.   

    Shortly after the great sun squares Uranus, I follow suit and allow the truth to usher in a shift or surprise  for each of us internally or in our emotional lives. Once the surprises are revealed, my Leo-ruled partner and I meet in all our glory after being challenged and winning the battle in the sky. 

    No challenge is too great and although I may get tired from battle I will never quit. I'll follow the Sun to the ends of the Earth, time and time again. Loyal as a lion to its pride, I will care for and nurture things as best I can, while remembering I am one of those things to be nurtured and cared for.
